Cuttington University at 50. Bravo!

The Golden Jubilee was celebrated in grand style. During the Program, the following students were recognized for their outstanding Academic Achievement.

    Highest Scholastic Honors

    Lauh M. yardanmah 1st Honor, Summa Cum Laude

    Sedekie B. Kamara 2nd Honor, Summa cum Laude

    Mona E. Peters 3rd Honor, Summa cum Laude

    Thirty-Five Students received Cum Laude

    Twenty -Three Students received Magma Cum Laude

    Five Students received Summa Cum Laude

  • They have always awarded two Scholarships to Students from the Colleges of Agriculture and Business for their outstanding Achievement in Agriculture and Economics. We want to commend Hon. Urey for his continuous support to the Human Resource Development of Liberia.

    Recipients of the two scholarships were:

  • The Student ( Vamuyan Sesay) with the highest G.P.A in Economics received the Dr. Cyril Bright Cash Award of USD $ 1,000.00.
  • The Student ( Ben Bellring)with the highest G.P.A. in Agriculture received the Daniel Webster Urey Cash Award of USD $ 1,000.00.

    Her Excellency, Madam Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America, served as the Keynote Speaker and was awarded the Doctor of Humane Letters ( LHD Honoris Causa) by the Cuttington University Board of Trustees and the Faculty Senate. We were also blessed to have graduated five hundred and fifty two (552) students from the three Campuses: One hundred and forty from the Graduate School and Professional Studies (Thirty -nine in the MBA Finance), (Nineteen in MBA Management) , (Twenty in Accounting) (Eight in Public Administration) , (Five in Economics), (Three in Theology) (Forty-three in Public Health),(Fourteen in Community Health), (Nine in Epidemiology), (Thirteen in M.Ed), (Ten in Edu. Administration), (Two in Edu. Supervision), and (One in Curriculum Studies and Instruction). For the Under Graduates, there were thirteen Candidates from the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution for Certificate in Peace Studies. This Department is headed by Dr. Joseph Saye Guannu. The total number of three hundred and sixty eight (368) Candidates for the Bachelor Degree in various Disciplines was admitted into the Alumni Association. The President and Officials Elect of the Cuttington University Alumni Association extend their thanks and appreciation to the Graduates for the job well done.   • Kakata Junior College, Kakata Magibi County from 9:00AM-3:30PM, and at the University Main Campus in Suakoko, Bong County, from 8 AM-4:00PM daily.
